Long Term Therapy

LONG TERM COUNSELLING & THERAPY

AIMS: TO UNDERSTAND & IMPLEMENT CHANGES

Long Term Counselling & Therapy (also referred to as Open-Ended Counselling & Therapy) can go on for a few months or a few years, depending on what you would like to get out of counselling.

Progress is constantly monitored by both of us and, once a satisfactory resolution has been reached, we would agree to end the sessions.

By talking about events and relationships currently happening in your life we can start to make connections between the way you are experiencing life now and things that have previously happened in your life.

By understanding your past patterns of relationships and behaviours you will gradually begin to feel in control of your life now.  You will also be able to start choosing which parts of your life you are happy with and which you would like to change.

This type of Therapy is suitable if you have a concern such as Anxiety, Stress, Relationship Issues, Depression, Eating Disorder, Obsession, Conflict at Work, Job-related Stress, Addiction, Bereavement or Panic Attacks and you wish to work towards understanding what caused this concern in the first place.

By learning where the concern came from you will be able to implement lasting changes to your life.

This type of Therapy is also useful for someone if someone has Issues from the Past or Childhood that are causing them distress in their Adult life, someone who has a history of Repetitive Destructive Behaviours, Failed Relationships or Domestic Abuse as well as people who have suffered Trauma or Abuse in either Childhood or as an Adult.

Long Term Therapy is also recommended for anyone who wants to explore themselves and find out how they became the person they are, or for Personal Development or Self-Discovery.
